You can move in once you rent the perfect space for your storage needs. If you rent through the convenient rental Kiosk past 11:59 pm, you will be able to access your unit after 6:00 am.
For convenience and efficiency, we accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. If you must pay with a corporate check for your business, we will make those arrangements with you in advance. The rental KIOSK also accepts cash but will not give change but apply your change to the following month’s rent. We do not keep cash in the rental office.
We require a 10-day written notice via email to Scott@amplestorage.biz. All rentals are month-to-month and auto-renew on the 1st of each month.
To avoid possible late penalties, we set everyone up on auto-bill to a credit card. If you are a commercial renter, you may pay with a check or set up auto-pay with ACH bank draft. We also have a convenient KIOSK which will take credit card and cash payments at the rental office. You may also pay through our online customer portal on this website. Click “Pay Bill" in the upper right corner.
We require a government-issued photo ID (example: driver's license, state ID, or passport) a valid credit card and proof of insurance for your stored items. If you need insurance, we offer 3rd Party tenant insurance which can be added and billed monthly with your rent. If you are storing any titled property (car, boat, RV, motorcycle, etc), we need a copy of the insurance for that vehicle.
You may also use our online Size Guide and Storage Calculator tools to assist you in this process
Yes, we require all tenants to carry insurance on their contents. A tenant must provide proof of insurance (declaration page from Homeowner policy) or select a coverage option from our 3rd Party Insurance provider, Storsmart Bader Insurance. If you are storing titled property, we need a copy of the vehicle license and insurance.
Convenience is the #1 response to this question.Since you will be able to pull your vehicle right up to your unit door, you will be able to reduce the amount of time that it takes to unload your items and reduce the number of times you have to touch your items. There will be no need for carts, dolly’s or long walks down multiple hallways. This will be critical if you will be storing large, heavy pieces of furniture in your unit, especially if you plan on picking up those items again in the near future. Moreover, if you are simply storing your possessions before a move, a drive-up unit can help you ensure the process of unloading and loading is the most efficient.
We are always open for business. Both of our locations offer a convenient Kiosk for our customers to use 24/7/365. At the Kiosk, you can rent a new unit, update your account, pay your rent, and even purchase a lock and insurance. We are very happy to see our customers in our rental office Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and on Saturdays between 9:00 am and Noon. Because we live nearby, we are happy to make appointments as needed. Just call us at (636) 242-5032.
Ample Storage was designed with large truck access in mind. With extra wide aisles, your driver will have no problem with access. There will be no long carries or stairs required for your move or access.
No. At the time you rent a storage space, you will be given your own personal gate code that will allow you access to your unit. If you rent a space in our temperature controlled building, you will be provided with a key to the shared hallway which is available to access 24/7.
All of our rental agreements are month-to-month. If you are interested in cost savings for long-term storage, be sure to talk to us about your situation.
Hazardous/flammable liquids or any that will do poorly in fluctuating temperatures, explosives, toxic materials, aerosol cans, candles, food, animal furs, illegal or illicit substances, plants, anything alive, and perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.
Yes. We sell various discounted packing and moving supplies. Please ask us about rates for what you need. We may have to order certain items not in stock, but can do that for you. We will deliver with advanced purchase.
We do not require you to purchase our locks but we do sell high-grade disk locks at a discounted rate. The locks we sell work perfectly in our door locking mechanisms. If you provide your own lock, please understand that some padlocks do not fit. Using two locks on a single unit is not permissible according to our rental agreement.
As long as you provided proper 10-day written notice and all outstanding balances are paid, you may move out any time. We require that the floors are broom-swept and the unit is returned to the same condition it was in when you moved in. Lower the door and take your lock and key with you once the unit is completely cleaned out. Items left behind or if not swept clean will incur additional fees. Please notify us via phone or email when your unit is vacated.
We have many renters who are commercial small businesses and community organizations. Since there is no electric or interior lighting in the storage units, spending long periods of time in the unit can be difficult. Please speak to us if you have certain needs for electric, additional lighting, or extended hours of use.
We do have many units of varying sizes which are in shared buildings where the temperature is controlled with HVAC year around. Our Temperature Controlled units are located at our 2960 Elm Point Industrial Drive location only. Keep in mind that most items you would put into storage are perfectly fine in a standard storage unit. Some reasons you may want to consider this more expensive temperature controlled storage option is if you need to store valuable items that may be environmentally sensitive. Some examples are high-end electronics, antiques, musical instruments, family heirlooms, delicate paintings, photos, and some types of books. By maintaining a stable temperature inside of your unit, you may rest assured that the condition of your property will not be affected by outside fluctuating conditions.
The first thing we recommend is for you to have a layout or plan for the storage of your items. By doing so, you will know exactly where to put things when you put them into the unit and, moreover, prevent yourself from having to rearrange your items in the future. Beyond having that initial plan, it is extremely helpful to label all boxes to ensure you know exactly what is contained in each box. If you are storing unboxed items, we recommend you cover them with breathable sheets or blankets to prevent dust from settling on them. Plastic doesn’t allow good air circulation and can invite condensation to form. If you would like additional recommendations, please check out our dedicated Storage Tips page.
Not at Ample Storage. We do not charge a deposit, an administration fee, or any other hidden fees. The only extra fees are if you purchase a lock, purchase third party tenant insurance from our provider, or moving supplies.
